Electric A-Frame Trailer Jack Does Not Have Any Power After Sitting for a Year
Question:
I have a 2010 Coachman Freedom Express 291 QBS. My travel trailer sat up for a year. I replaced the battery and everything is working except the power tongue lift. Nothing happens when I push the button, no clicking or anything. The light on the lift does not come on either. Where should I begin troubleshooting? Is there a fuse somewhere for the lift?

On electric trailer jack # LC285318 there is a fuse that you can check. It is in line with the power wire. I have included a picture of what you will be looking for.
If the fuse is not the issue then it is likely a ground problem. This jack grounds through where it mounts. You would need to un-bolt it from the trailer and clean away any dirt and corrosion on the trailer and the underside of the bracket on the jack. You may also need new hardware if it is also corroded.
