Tie Downs for a Truck Bed Camper in a 1998 Ford F-150 Long Bed Converted into a Trailer

Question:

I have a 2002 Sun-Lite Eagle SE Slide-in, full-sized, pop-up, truck bed camper. I traded my old Dodge 2500 long wheel base truck in on a new 2012 Doge quad cab but the new truck has a short wheel base and I cant use the camper with it. I have been searching for either a 3/4 or 1 ton converted pick-up bed trailer to carry the camper on but all I was able to locate was a 1998 F-150 long wheel base pick-up bed trailer conversion. Ive already added helper springs to the 1998 Ford F-150 truck bed trailer and now I am looking for the right type of tie downs to mount to the new trailer in order to be able to transport my camper safely. I have been looking at both the Brophy Stake Pocket tie down kits and the Torklift Frame Mount Tie Down kits. Which would be the best/safest for the 1998 Ford F-150?

If I understand correctly, the trailer that the camper is in is just he bed part of a 1998 Ford F-150. The best and safest option would be the Torklift custom fit tie downs. However, because this is not a normal application I cannot confirm that any of them will fit.

That leaves the Brophy tie downs # TDSF which are designed to fit domestic pickup trucks up to 2010 model years so your 1998 Ford F-150 bed does fall into that category. I also recommend the tie down hardware package # TDHP.
