Yes, the Curt trailer wiring harness # C55593 is a confirmed fit a 2008 Mazda CX-7 that came with a factory installed towing package. If you are not sure if your CX-7 has a factory tow package, then have a dealer run the vehicle VIN and they should be able to tell you how it is equipped.
The Curt harness is actually rated for a little more power draw at 6 amps for running lights and 3 amps for brake/turn signals per side. The Tow Ready harness is rated for 5 amps and 2.1 amps, respectively.
If your CX-7 did not come with a factory tow package then I reocmmend using Tow Ready harness # 118405. It plugs in line with the vehicle trail lights and requires a direct connection to the vehicle battery. This connection is what powers the trailer lights and helps isolate the vehicle wiring from the trailer wiring, protecting both.
I have included links to videos showing installation of the two different types of harnesses for you. I have also included a help article with tips on routing a power wire should you need harness # 118405.
