How Long is the Saris Hitch Tite Threaded Anti-Rattle Lock
Question:
I currently have a saris 2inch receiver , 4bike carrier . I currently am driving a 2014 Toyota Tacoma . The problem I am facing is that the 3inch pin is not long enough. I need a longer pin 3 1/2 pin. It will need to fit a 8 to 10 year saris bike rack. Any options?

I went out to the warehouse and pulled Saris hitch lock # SA3022. The pin itself from under the bolt head to the end of the pin is 4-1/4 inches. But when the lock is installed the usable span is only 3-1/4 inches.
If this is not long enough I recommend going with the regular threaded pin you have to secure the rack in the hitch. Then use a cable lock, # SA981, to secure the rack and bikes to the hitch by routing the cable through the safety change loops on the hitch. I linked a video review of the cable lock for you.
