Which Wiring Adapter To Install # 90885 Tekonsha Prodigy P2 in 2003 Chevy Suburban
Question:
Have an 03 Suburban. Looking at getting a Tekonsha P2 with pre-built harness. Have there been any issues with Chevys wiring change that year? Also where would I plug it in see pic Thanks

GM changed the brake controller wiring adapter pin-out between the 2002 and the 2003 model years. The 1999-2002 models used the # 3025-P, while the 2003-2007 Classic models use the # 3015-P.
We have heard of instances where there were 2003 models that for some reason still used the 3025-P connector, but you can check this easily by using a circuit tester like # PTW2993 on the under dash plug as shown in the photo. If the pin at the top right shows current when the brake pedal is pushed, you'd need the 3015-P. If the lower right pin goes hot with the brake pedal, then you'd need the 3025-P.
I've linked you to some Brake Controller articles that you might find helpful.
