Remove Plugs on Factory Wiring Harness to Install Trailer Wiring on a 2013 Nissan Frontier
Question:
To connect the 7 way adapter, the instructions say to remove the plugs from the adapters near the spare tire on the drivers side. Ive also watched the video to see specifically how to get the plug out and they use a small screwdriver to pull it out. However, I am having difficulty getting the plug out and do not want to break the connector. Is there a release to press in the process of getting the plugs to slide out? If not, where should I be pressing and applying pressure? 2013 Nissan Frontier.

I think the video you are referring to is the one I have linked here. The release is right where our installer is pushing on the connector with the screwdriver. You have to push in and pull down at the same time. The part you will be pushing in and down on is the cap so you are not likely to break the connector.
Road grime could have gummed up the plug and connector a little so it may need to be cleaned with a few squirts of WD40 and then wiped off. You just don't want to get any WD40 on the electrical connections. But if you do just clean them out and allow them to dry before completing the installation.

On my 2009 Xterra, my black 2-pin connector for 12V and brake controller needs to have the pins swapped, how the heck do I remove the pins (an illustration or video would be VERY helpful)?
