Height Of Trailer Hitch Receiver Opening On 2011 Ford Edge

For a 2011 ford edge are there any bands that actually sit up higher than others. I am concerned about going out of steep driveways without the toung of the hitch hitting. Which ones sit up the highest Thank You

We have several hitches that will work for your 2011 Ford Edge. The height of the hitches vary due to the type Edge you have. If you have the Sport model it will cause the hitch to be a little closer to the ground.

If you do not have the Sport model I recommend the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch, part # 75728. I have attached a video that shows the hitch installed on a 2011 Ford Edge. The distance from the top of the receiver tube to the ground is 11-3/4 inches. If you subtract 3 inches for the opening and the lip of the receiver opening it still gives you 8-3/4 inches of clearance.

If you are driving a Sport model the hitch I recommend is the Curt Trailer Hitch, part # C13067. This hitch measures 3 inches from the top of the receiver to the ground and would then mean you would have about 9 inches from the bottom of the receiver.
