The tongue weight range of the Curt Weight Distribution system part # C17422 that you referenced is 1,000-1,500 lbs. The best way to pick out a weight distribution system is to base it off of the loaded tongue weight of the setup when it is loaded and ready to tow, this figure also includes the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. I attached an FAQ on determining tongue weight for you to check out as well.
If your loaded tongue weight falls in that range of 1k to 1.5k then the # C17422 would work well for you.
If you need a lower rated Curt system you might be interested in the # 17302, this system has an 800-1,000 lb range.
