Does the Bumper of a 1988 Toyota Pickup Get Modified When Installing a Curt Hitch # 13086
Question:
what happens to my existing bumperstock chrome bumper if I install this receiver hitch, do I have to remove it? modify the bumper to keep it on the truck? or will this hitch mount beneath it?

You would not need to modify your bumper in any way to install the Curt Hitch part # 13086 on your 1988 Toyota Pickup. This hitch will install below the bumper. I attached installation instructions for you to check out. You will see that the bumper gets removed during installation, but it gets put back on once the install is complete.
For trailer wiring you would want the wiring harness part # C59496. Install video attached.
For a ball mount, hitch ball, and pin and clip, I would recommend the etrailer Ball Mount Kit, part # 989900. This is a kit which includes 2 ball mounts, a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, and a hitch pin and clip.
