Trailer Hitch for a 2001 Acura MDX with Full Size Spare Tire

Please tell me why you recommend the Drawtite when they say it does not fit a full size spare? I am considering the Curt, which does not specify.

Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 75599 used to be listed as a fit for a 2001 Acura MDX with a full-size spare tire. That has since changed.

The Curt trailer hitch, # 13328, is said to fit vehicles with the full sized spare tire. It is recommended to temporarily remove the spare to make the installation easier.

If you plan on doing some towing I also recommend etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts, 2 balls, a hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag. And for trailer wiring you can use # 118336. I have included links to videos showing installations of the hitch and wiring for you.
