Trailer Wiring Harness Recommendation for a 2013 Toyota Prius
Question:
I have a T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, Code: 118505. I took it off my 2010 Toyota Prius, will this work on my 2013 Toyota Prius? If is doesnt, do you something else that is easy to install as this was?

I have an option for you, however, the only trailer wiring harnesses that we have for the 2013 Toyota Prius are hardwire options. Your Tow Ready T-One Wring Harness, # 118505, will only fit the Prius up to 2012.
For the 2013 models, you can use the Curt Upgraded Circuit Protected Wiring Kit # C59496.
I have attached the installation instructions for both wiring harnesses for you to check out. The instructions are not vehicle specific, but you will want to keep in mind that your vehicle has separate taillight wiring, so the harness will need to be wired as follows.
Green wire to right turn circuit
Yellow wire to left turn circuit
Red wire to brake light circuit
Brown wire to running light circuit
I recommend using a circuit tester, like part # PTW2993, to test the wires going into the taillight assemblies to make sure you are splicing into the correct wires. Vehicle manufacturers do not use a standard color code.
