Recommendation for Hitch Mounted Bike Rack on 2015 Subaru Forester
Question:
I'm trying to choose an appropriate hitch mounted bike rack for my 2015 Subaru Forester. It has a 1 1/4 inch hitch receiver, class 1. A two or three bike rack that can be easily loaded and unloaded by myself small woman, accommodate women and childrens bikes and easily access the cargo area. I've read so many reviews that now I'm more unsure of the best rack for me than I was when I started looking into it! Many reviews suggested issues with fitting racks onto a Subaru Forester. Any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!

One of my favorites is the Thule Doubletrack Pro XT Bike Carrier, # TH92BJ. This platform style carrier holds two bikes of almost any frame design, including children's bikes, and is designed for quick and easy loading and unloading. Being a woman myself, I personally have no problem using this carrier.
Another great choice would be the Swagman XC 2 Bike Platform Style Rack, # S64650. This rack is quite a bit lighter and still gives you some of the great features as the Thule Doubletrack.
You should experience no difficulty accessing the cargo area of your 2015 Subaru Forester when the rack is in the folded down position.
