Specifics on How to Install Hopkins Backup Sensor System on 2007 Ford Edge

Are there instructions related to getting wiring through the headliner and lift gate of a 2007 Ford edge or for that matter any lift gate type of vehicle? Please advise.

Because the Hopkins Backup Sensor System you referenced, part # HM60100VA is a universal fit item, there are no vehicle specific installation instructions available. You would need to remove the interior panels and trim from the liftgate, to route the wire up to the top of the liftgate, following the wire for the license plate lamp. If there is a trim piece on the headliner at the liftgate, the wire can run under there to the D-pillar (see photo) where it's routed down to the area behind the taillights where it would tap into the reverse light circuit.
