Flat Towing A 2014 Jeep Wrangler With A D-Ring Bumper

I have a 2014 jeep jku with an aftermarket AVE front bumper that has connection points for d ring shackles. I would like to flat tow the jeep with the most affordable tow bar. Can you recommend to me what components I need? thank you

Hello mark, thanks for reaching out. We do have a great tow bar option that will work with the D-ring mounts on your 2014 Jeep JKU. I recommend going with the Roadmaster brand for the D-ring adapters since they are top quality, and fora good price. You will need the D-Ring Mounts # RM-035 for 3/4" D-Rings, or the # RM-035-1 for 1" D-Rings. The most affordable tow bar option to go with that will be the Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar # RM-520. Here are the rest of the components I recommend for flat towing your Jeep:

- RoadMaster 68" Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables - 6,000 lbs # RM-643

- Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267

- Roadmaster Battery Disconnect with Switch for Towed Vehicle w/ Flat Tow Brake System - Gas # RM-766

- Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo Flat Tow Brake System for RVs w/ Hydraulic Brakes - Proportional # SM99251

That will cover all of the main components. Disconnecting the battery is a requirement for flat towing your Jeep, and the Roadmaster Battery Disconnect is the best way to do this. One disconnect is needed for each starter battery. You may also need a drop hitch such as part # BLU28XR.
