Recommendation for Bike Carrier on a 2007 BMW 530xi Sport Wagon
Question:
I have a 2007 BMW 530xi Sport Wagon. I would like to add a bike carrier but BMW doesn't list one available. Will any of yours work? I am looking at the "Thule T2" bike rack. It seems to be the most reliable and easiest to load. Thanks for your help.

The Thule T2 Platform Style 2 Bike Carrier, # TH9045, would be a great option to use on your 2007 BMW 5 Series. This carrier is for use with a 1-1/4 inch hitch and is loaded with options including the fold up and tilt feature.
If you haven't installed a hitch as of yet, I would recommend the Curt Class I Receiver Hitch, # C11498. This custom fit hitch offers bolt-on installation with no welding required. The installations will require some drilling with an angle drill, trunk access, temporary loosening or removal of underbody panels and/or facia, and some possible trimming of panels or fascia for reattachment. It has an estimated install time of 1 hour and 40 minutes. Take a look at the attached installation video. If you are not comfortable with the install, you can have it completed at a local shop. All non-trailer loads including bike racks and cargo carriers must be supported with stabilizing straps, # 18050.
