Recommended Trailer Hitch for a 2018 Coachmen Prism On a Sprinter Chassis
Question:
I bought a used 2018 Coachmen Prism class C motorhome on a 2015 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis. I have learned that the towing hitch is rated for 3500 lbs. I need to find a hitch that fits this vehicle and is rated to tow my Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk at 7500-8000 lbs capacity. Would the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class 3 - 2inch part 13358 be the best solution? Thanks, Ric Olson

Ric, yes the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13358 will work great with your 2018 Coachman Prism on a 2015 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis.
This hitch has a GTW capacity of 5,000 lbs so it's still going to be a bit underrated to tow your Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk.
Since your Jeep is so heavy, I'd actually recommend stopping by a hitch shop and have your Sprinter outfitted with a custom reinforced hitch that can handle your Jeep.
