Recommended Electric Brake Conversion Parts

I have a 1991 Jayco, JaySeries 1406 Deluxe. GVWR is 3330 7-Pin elextical connector. Coupler is a WELDED to a CUT OPEN 3 A-frame with a Atwood 82543 drum brake actuator with 2 ball fitting. 10 x 6 rims 7 drum brakes Tandem Dexter Toflex axles, 1800 lbs. ea. My Issue: The actuator has a blown shock absorber 85830 and a broken master cylinder Atwood 85841. It also has a poorly working backup switch which is probably due to the above. I assume the drum pads are bad. I have a 2021 RAM Warlock with a 4-pin and 7 pin tow package, but no integral brake controller. I believe it has the connectors inside the dash. I was told I can get a coupler welded on and convert to electrical 7 brakes. If I understand this all I can use the following: QTY 2: eTrailer, 7 - L/R 2,000 lbs drum brake kit, Item AKEBRK-2 QTY 1: A-Frame Trailer Coupler - Yoke Latch - Black - 2 Ball - Weld On - 8,000 lbs Item CA-5210-B? QTY 1: Hayes Energize III+ Trailer Brake Controller w/ Wiring Adapter Dual Plug Part Numbers: HA81742B,HA81795-HBC Is this correct? What else do I need?

That is somewhat correct depending on whether or not you have the standard dimensions on your a-frame! The etrailer Electric Trailer Brakes item # AKEBRK-2 will work great with your 1,800 lbs Torflex axles. You will just want to make sure your brake mounting flange has a 4-bolt pattern.

As far as a brake controller goes. Your 2021 Ram 1500 Warlock does have the plug and play port. The Hayes Energize III item # HA81742B will plug right in if you use item # HA81795-HBC.

The A-Frame Trailer Coupler item # CA-5210-B is 9-1/2" wide at its mount and 2" where the trailer frame is attached. Hopefully, the 3 in your description of your couple doesn't describe the width of the frame.
