Troubleshooting Electric Trailer Tongue Jack Not Raising Even When Power is Connected to Tow Vehicle
Question:
We are having an issue with our jack. When I hit the raise button I get two clicks but it doesn’t move. I have the trailer connected to the truck so it shouldn’t be a power issue. What should I check to see what the issue might be

Great question Scott. First you will want to check and ensure the Jack # LC285318 is not frozen by using the manual override. As long as the jack is able to move up and down you know the issue is going to be either electrical or a bad motor. I would go ahead and use the manual override to raise the jack tall enough to get it connected and then try the motor to lower the trailer onto the hitch. It typically takes less power to lower the jack then raise it so you may get it to go down. If the jack goes down this is a good indication that the wiring may be internally damaged and is not letting enough power get to the jack.
Please let me know what you find and we can continue to troubleshoot the issue.
