Hi Elizabeth; choosing a weight distribution hitch comes down to the tongue weight of your setup. It looks like the 2020 Heartland Mallard S185 has a dry tongue weight of 484 lbs so I would expect it to be just under 600 lbs if you fully loaded the trailer to 4,450 lbs.
For a great WDH that performs well at a good price I recommend the Fastway e2 # FA92-00-0800. This system has a tongue weight range of 400-800 lbs so you will fall within it when fully loaded or when the trailer is empty. This hitch has 2-point sway control and is made by Equal-i-zer who is widely considered to be the best. You will also need # A-90 for a 2" ball or # A-6 for a 2-5/16" ball along with # ALL643216 for installation.
If you would rather have the 4-point sway control from Equal-i-zer you could use the # EQ37060ET. This has a slightly different range at 200-600 lbs but that shouldn't be a problem unless you're carrying a ton of weight behind the rear axle which also adds to tongue weight. This comes with a 2" ball but you will still need the # ALL643216 for hitch ball installation.
