Parts Needed to Bypass 2015 Chevy Silverado 2500 Factory Brake Controller

My 2015 silverado 2500 HD has the integrated trailer brake control. can i use the tekonsha Prodigy controller and appropriate plug and play harness to upgrade my braking system?

Yes, you can bypass the integrated brake controller on your 2015 Chevy Silverado 2500 by using the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195, the Plug-In Adapter # 3016, and then running 10 Gauge Wire # 10-1-1 from the blue wire on the adapter (which you'll need to cut into) through your firewall and back to the brake controller output on your truck's 7-Way (see attached).

This will bypass your factory controller without throwing codes.

I recommend using Heat Shrink Butt Connectors # DW05745-5 to accomplish this so your wiring connections are safe from the elements.
