Hello Dejay. So, there are a lot of different features these Air Lift compressor kits offer. While there are other factors that go into pricing, the price is generally a reflection of the features you are getting.
For example, on the lower priced end we have the Air Lift Load Controller II Compressor System # AL25592. This is a pretty basic compressor system. It uses an analogue gauge that mounts in the cab of the vehicle. It is pretty much just a compressor and a gauge with a switch for filling the bags.
As we move up in price, you will see different features and components added to the kits. Stuff like heavy-duty compressors, Bluetooth compatibility, remote controller and easy-mount install kits. Some will even come with an auxiliary air tank which is used for feeding air into the springs and also has an auxiliary air hose which can be used to fill tires or pool floaties or anything else with an air valve.
One very popular higher priced option is the Air Lift WirelessAIR Compressor System for Air Helper Springs # AL58WQ. I like this one a lot because it has an easy-mount bracket which make for quick and secure installation. It is Bluetooth compatible, and is controlled via the Air Lift smartphone app. The app is really great because not only does it give you simple, familiar controls right at your fingertips, but it gives you real-time diagnostics and towing information. So, a lot of amazing features that you do not get with the less expensive compressor options.
When selecting a compressor consider how often you will be towing and what features you are looking for. If you tow only twice a year, a less expensive option may make sense. If you are planning more frequent excursions, I do highly recommend a wireless compressor like the # AL58WQ that I mentioned. Let me know if there are any specific features you are looking for and I am happy to make a recommendation, or if you have any questions in general feel free to reach out.
