Recommended Replacement Grease Seal for a 1950 Sailplane & Glider
Question:
I have a 1950s trailer for a sailplane glider. I would like to replace the inner seals while repacking the bearings. Based on your previous answer to a similar question. The Grease Seal that is in place now is a 250G122 CRinch with an OD of 2.50inch and an ID of 1.716. The outer spindle threads are 0.75, the outer axle is 0.75inch and the inner axle is 1.25. The Inner bearing against the Grease seal is a LM67048inch and the outer bearing is a LM11949. The Hub where the seal fits measures 2.50inch and the necessary width for the seal is 0.25. All measured with a digital caliper

Okay Jon, it looks like what you're looking for is the Grease Seal # 58846, which has an inner diameter of 1.719" and an outer diameter of 2.565".
This seal is only a 1/16" x 0.08 mm larger than the seal you have now so it should work fine as a replacement.
