What Size Wrench is Needed to Install Camco Element CAM02143 in Atwood Water Heater
Question:
I have a GC10A-4E Atwood water heater and I understand that the CAM02143 is an equivalent replacement part. I have 3 questions, since the replacement part is shorter than the original will this effect the recovery time on my 10 gallon heater, if by how much? Numer 2 question, since there is no sacrificial anode in the GC10A-4E will the CAM02143 work the same in that regard as the OEM part? Question 3, what socket size is needed for the original OEM part and what socket size is needed for the CAM02143 part if different?

Hey Jack, the Camco element part # CAM02143 would not cause your water heater to be slower to heat up when compared to what was in the water heater previously. This would not act like an anode rod and sacrifice itself slowly like an anode rod does.
The size wrench is a 1-1/2 inch element wrench.
