Is Spindle Washer Needed for 2k Axle
Question:
Do all hub assemblies have an outer washer i e lays between the bearing and cotter pin? I am replacing the original hubs with AKIHUB-440-2-G-EZ-1K. I was under the impression they do require a washer. I thought it must have been overlooked during the original build on that one side. Upon closer examination, the flat washer was missing on both sides of the trailer. I purchased washers locally and can make them fit however the tire does not free wheel as it should. What is best advice in this situation. Thanks in advance.

Many smaller spindles do not require a washer. Your 1" spindle on your 2k axle falls under this category. It would be great if you could add one like the # SW1000 but since it sounds like it doesn't fit you will have to continue to go without just like you did before.
