Can The Aluminum Bearcat Trailer Wheels Be Used to Replace Lionshead Lynx Wheels On Grand Design?

Question:

Hello, I have Lionshead Lynx wheels on my Grand Design Solitude which are not offered anymore. They are 16x6, 8 6-1/2 4.90 bore, I am pretty sure 4080 load rating. Will the Bearcat Gunmetal gray with a 4.88 bore fit on the Dexter 7,000lb axle brake drum with the 4.88 center caps? Thanks, Dean.

With you having the Lynx wheels on your Grand Design Solitude now you should have no issues fitting the Aluminum Bearcat Trailer Wheel # 274-000039 with the Wheel Center Cap # LHCS109-SI60C. My only concern would have been the lug size but the Bearcat fits both 1/2" and 9/16" studs which is what the Lynx will have.

Ok thanks. I do know it is 1/2-20 nuts on the trailer so I would order 1/2". I guess I would have to also order the 4.88 center caps.

@DeanS You are going to be able to reuse your current lug nuts since you are not changing the hubs. You may be able to use your current 4.90" wheel center caps as often times they will fit both hub bores. If you have a large enough caliper you can verify the size of your current center caps.

@DeanS Sorry for the confusion. The Aluminum Bearcat Trailer Wheel # 274-000039 will fit both your 1/2" or 9/16" wheel studs.
