Troubleshooting Lighting Problems on a 1974 Ford Truck
Question:
The install went perfect but on my 74 Ford Truck when I press the brake the turn signal stops. and when the head lights are on the turn signals wont work. What can I do?

I recommend checking the grounding wire on the Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness item # 40105 it'll need to be securely attached to a bare clean piece of metal. Also check the grounds on the individual lights.
Both of these problems you mentioned can be the result of a bad ground. When you operate both blinkers and brake lights and the blinkers stop blinking, it’s because the circuit is not good enough to operate both lights.
