Solution for Trailer with 13 inch Wheels that Allows for Higher Speed Ratings
Question:
hello , i have a 5x8 carryon trailer i purchased from tractor supply and it has stock 13inch wheels on it . i wanted to upgrade to a 15 inch wheel if possible just to be able to drive around 75-80mph on the high way . Im usually only using this to transport 2 motorcycles sport bikes about 400lbs a piece 100 miles to the track and back . the only issue i see i might have is the wheel well spacing in the fenders which i have no problem buying the bigger fenders if Im able to replace the wheels . any info would be appreciated thanks

Hey Andre, I have an easier solution to allow you to go faster speeds with your trailer that is pretty simple. All you need is a tire with a higher speed rating like the part # AM10210 which is the tire size ST175/80-13 and has an 81 mph speed rating. This means you get the higher speed rating and you don't have to modify the trailer at all.

Thanks for the fast response ! Just curious at this point , is it possible to still go up to a 14 or 15inch wheel ?
