Recommended Roof Vent Upgrade for a MaxxFan 08951K

Question:

We have a MaxxFan Deluxe 4 speed #00-08951k in our trailers bathroom It’s not working right. Push the button to open it and it rises a little bit then closes. I’d like to buy the entire new fan again and just replace the fan and leave the part that is in the roof, so not to mess with the roofing. I can’t find the exact same model number fan. Will one of the new model numbers fan fit in the opening of my old fan? Thank you Michael Carson

Hey Michael, I actually wasn't able to find any replacements for that fan and it also seems like the fan has been discontinued. I recommend just swapping out the entire thing with the MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan # MA00-07500K.

I know it's not really what you wanted to do, but unfortunately it seems to be your best option. This vent will fit into a 14" x 14" opening, has a 12V, 10 speed fan, and includes all of the mounting hardware for install.

Good morning again Another fellow at e trailer recommended a new circuit board for our existing fan I lost that email from earlier Could you please give me that model number for that because the wife wants to go that route now Thanks so much

@CarsonM I'm not sure which circuit board they were pointing you towards, but none of our replacement circuit boards are compatible with your existing unit.

@BryceD Good Morning I just got off the phone with Stacie at Etrailer She said that the PC Board will work I’m having a really hard time getting the right answer She said that I could open the package up and see if the wires match up to our 8951K fan If not I could send it back

@CarsonM So if it does work, then we are not aware of that. I'd assume we had tested to make sure, but I'm not 100% sure, but like Stacie said if the wires match up then you can use it - if not, you can return it.
