Hey William,

If your 2018 Chevy Equinox has rails that run from front to back then I recommend the Yakima JetStream Crossbars # Y00425 and TimberLine Towers # Y33TR.

If you have a naked roof then you'll need the following roof rack components:

To haul the kayak you can can clamp on a carrier like the Rhino-Rack Kayak Roof Rack w/ Tie-Downs # S512. This will include tie-down straps for both the bow and stern and built in paddle holders. The folding design will allow you to close the carrier up to take up less space in storage.

For the bike you could go with a roof rack mounted bike rack or you can go with a trailer hitch mounted rack. If you want a roof rack mounted bike rack then I recommend the Yakima FrontLoader Wheel Mount Bike Carrier # Y02103.

If you want a hitch mounted bike rack then I recommend the Thule DoubleTrack Pro XT Bike Rack # TH92BJ. This rack has a per bike capacity of 35lbs, can fit both 1-1/4" and 2" trailer hitch openings, and can handle tires up to 5" wide. If you have an e-bike, need to haul more than two bikes, need to haul on an RV, or any other information on your bike(s) that change what style rack you need then just let me know.

If your Equinox doesn't have a trailer hitch then I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76419 (non-diesel) or # 76217 (diesel).

@William Yes, the Yakima FrontLoader Wheel Mount Bike Carrier # Y02103 would be a compatible fit for the Rhino-Rack crossbars I recommended above. It can fit aero, round, square and factory roof-rack crossbars with a maximum crossbar size of 3" wide x 1-1/2" tall.
