It is possible to remove the module from your 2015 BMW X5 and move it to another vehicle. The programming is a service that Stealth Hitch offers, and they can do everything remotely. Once the device is removed from the old vehicle, it will need to be reprogrammed back to the original settings. If the new vehicle requires programming, this can also be done by the folks at Stealth Hitch. This will need to be taken into account when planning the install of the trailer hitch on the new vehicle. The remote programming needs to be scheduled about 1 week in advance.
