Warranty for Reese Puck on Sidewinder Pin Box
Question:
I have a Reese Sidewinder #68220 and discovered the adjusting mechanism for the puck is broken. I have sent a message to Horizon Global Reese asking for help to replace the broken parts, but because of eTrailers superb customer service, I thought Id check with you too. Do you have an in with Reese or am I best to just work directly with them for this?

Hey Mike!
If you bought the Sidewinder through us here at etrailer then we could help warranty out the parts but since it looks like you purchased it elsewhere (or it came on your trailer) then your best bet is to contact Reese directly like what you've already done.
I've struggled to get answers from them as well so you aren't alone there. In the recent past Horizon Global was bought out by First Brands and ever since then it's been a bit of a circus over there.
Are you by chance talking about the wedge kit that fits in the jaws of your 5th wheel hitch? We have some replacements on our site like part # RP44FR which would work great with your M5 Hitch # RP26FR

Hi Jon, Thanks for the quick reply. I bought the Sidewinder at the dealer when I bought the trailer and they installed and adjusted it for the hitch I had then. Unfortunately, It's not the wedge that's broken, its the adjusting wheel and plate that the wedge bolts into that is broken. I can't for the life of me see how that chunk of metal could break, but it most certainly did! I'll keep bugging Reese until I get an answer because surely those parts would be a LOT cheaper than a whole new sidewinder!
