Air Bag Helper Springs Compatible With Gooseneck Hitch On a 1993 Dodge Ram D250
Question:
Goodmorning, I am looking to install a gooseneck hitch and a set of rear helper airbags in my 1993 Dodge D250. I am seeing most of the airbag kits say they do not work with a gooseneck hitch. Can you help me find products that would work? Thanks

With the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch # BWGNRK1300 you would be able to install either the Firestone # F2071 air bags you found or the Air Lift # AL88215 air bags which I prefer on your 1993 Dodge Ram D250. The B&W gooseneck mounts on top of the frame rails rather than on the side rails where other sets typically mount.
I prefer the Air Lift # AL88215 over the Firestone as Air Lift includes an internal jounce bumper which greatly helps to reduce the bouncing which is typical of vehicles using air bags. This spring can also help prevent damage to the air spring should it become deflated. Their WirelessAIR Compressor System # AL74000 is a great system to use with the air springs. It has a smart manifold which you can control from a smart phone or the included wireless remote. But best of all the manifold will monitor the air pressure while you drive and automatically make adjustments should it change by more than 3psi.
