Would the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension # ASR35HDS02 Or # ASR3500S06 be Better Off-Road?
Question:
In the answer to the question “What is the Difference BEtweeen the Timbren Axle-less Suspension 3500 vs 3500hd W/4inch lift “ its says they are essentially the same it comes down to accommodating tire size. Does that mean the 3500 is OK for overland / off road? The Timbren descriptions infer one is for HW driving and one is for overland. Thanks!

The main reasons the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension # ASR35HDS02 is better for off road applications is it uses the larger spindle which is going to be stronger and less likely to become damaged when your axle falls off a ledge or into a hole. Also the spindle sits further from the suspension allowing for a wider tire without large offset wheels.
Some would assume because the Kit # ASR3500S06 has a 4" lift that it would be better off-road but it has the lighter spindle and the hub sits closer suspension so you will have a narrower tire.
