Will Anything Bad Happen if Too Big of Trailer Suspension Equalizer is Used
Question:
Replaced leaf springs, bolts, nuts, u-shaped hangers and equalizers on dual axel trailer. Never replaced the mounting brackets that came in the kit. Equalizers were 6 1/4” center to center. New equalizers are 7 3/4” center to center. Everything bolted up and works, however trailer sits higher. I like that the trailer sits higher but is this going to wreck anything? New equalizers are never level, whether I’m fully loaded or empty, or on level ground or not… Any help would be great Thanks

Your equalizers not sitting level is a sign that they aren't going to work as well since the movement they normally allow will be limited. It may not be a problem in the near future but basically components of the suspension will wear out quicker and your tires may wear out quicker as well.
It would be best to replace what you have with the correct size equalizer like the part # TREQ356.
