Parts Needed To Add Electric Brakes to a Master Tow 80THD Tow Dolly
Question:
What type of Tow Dolly brake kits do you have for a Master Tow 80THD. I am looking to purchase one of these and it does not have any type of Brakes. Looking for Surge or Electric Brakes. What do you recommend. Thanks Gene

We have all the parts you will need to add a set of electric brakes to a Master Tow 80THD tow dolly but they don't come in kits. I recommend installing electric brakes. It looks like Master Tow includes brake mounting flanges so you will need the following parts:
Brake Assembly - Electric Trailer Brake Kit item # AKEBRK-35 - Sold as a pair
Hub & Drum Assembly - Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly item # AKHD-545-35-K - Sold individually you'll need two.
Trailer Wiring Junction Box item # 38656
7-Way Molded Trailer Wire Connector, 4' Long item # H20043 or item # HM20041 for a longer 8' cable
Hopkins Engager Push-To-Test Trailer Breakaway Kit with Built-In Battery Charger - item # 20400
10 Gauge Primary Wire - Blue - per Foot item # 10-1-1
At the end of the day if you do not end up purchasing your Master Tow 80THD, the Roadmaster Tow Dolly item # RM-2050-1 is a comparable option with a 4,250 lbs capacity and comes with electric brakes.
