What is the Difference Between the TorkLift Camper Tie Downs and the TorkLift Talon Tie Downs
Question:
2021 Chevy K3500 DRW 8foot bed, Crew Cab. What is the weight difference between these #TL44, #TL84 and the equivalent Talon tiedowns? I.e., the weight difference between steel verses aluminum?

Expert Reply:
The biggest difference between the TorkLift Camper Tie-Downs # TL84FR, # TL44FR & the TorkLift Talon Camper Tie-Downs # TL73QR & # TL44XR is that the Talon's are made of Aluminum which is going to be approximately 30-50% lighter than the traditional steel tie downs.
Other than that, they are the exact same and will do the same job. The other caveat is the aluminum Talon tie downs are also going to quite a bit more expensive.
With either choice you are also going to need a set of turnbuckles # TLS9529-2-LK to secure your camper to the tie downs.
