Could Turnoverball Gooseneck Style B and W Companion Hitch be Converted fit OEM Pucks 2018 Chevy Sil

I had a 2002 2500 hd chevy Silverado. With bandw flip ball goose neck. Have a bandw companion fifth wheel hitch .. Bought 2018 2500 chevy with z71 package. Pull a 2006 cypress 32ck weighs. 12,000 dry. Can I use the fifth wheel head on a new base for the box puck system on the 2018 ? Will fifth wheel clear the sides of the 2018 box? How high can you adjust the head mounts up to assure fifth wheel clears box sides? Just new base?

Yes Randall you can use the head of your current B and W Companion hitch with a different base that fits your OEM pucks directly. For that you'd need the part # BWRVB3705 which would basically give you the # BWRVK3705 which is the complete hitch for your truck. One thing to consider is that it would be a lot easier to sell your old hitch as a complete unit than just the base. It might make the most sense to sell the old hitch secondhand as a complete hitch to offset the cost of the new hitch.

With the new setup you'd have a hitch head height adjustability range of 16-3/4 inch to 18-3/4 inch.
