Wiring Kit Recommendation For 2009 Volkswagen EOS
Question:
Hi there, Im looking for a tow wiring kit for my 2009 Volkswagen EOS. I found 119250KIT on your website. 1 Could you confirm this is the right one? 2 I found a video online. Is this the old version? Is installation of the new kit similar? 3 How come you guys include black instead of red wiring for the long run that goes under the body to the positive battery terminal? Can you include red for me instead? Or if I want to use my own wire, what gauge and type should I get? e.g. flexible core 4 The guy in the video suggested running the wire through a tube for protection which is a great idea. Could you suggest a size and type of tubing I should use? Thanks! The item is sitting in my cart now and if you can answer my questions satisfactorily I will buy promptly.

For your 2009 Volkswagen EOS the Tekonsha ZCI Circuit Protected Wiring Kit part # 119250KIT is a confirmed fit. This kit includes the powered converter with circuit protection to safeguard your Volkswagen Eos wiring and the module. This kit includes everything necessary to hardwire it to your Eos. It also includes a circuit tester that is used to help find wires behind Eos taillights to determine signals. In the kit 20 ft of 12-gauge wire is included for the battery connections. The 12 gauge wire we carry is black and can be ordered by the foot. That part number is # 12-1-1.
The tubing used to protect wiring is 1/4 inch wire loom, part # 7509-10. This comes in a 10 ft piece when ordered. .
I have included a link to an installation video of the 119190KIT.
