I would be happy to help you set your 2023 Chevy Traverse up to tow a uhaul trailer. The first thing you will need is a hitch. I recommend the etrailer item # e56YR. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your SUV with included hardware.
The etrailer Hitch item # e56YR has a 2" receiver which will give you plenty of ability to pull a uhaul trailer and also provide you with the most options if you want to use a cargo carrier or bike rack.
For wiring you will need the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness item # C56394. This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your Chevy's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's-side rear bumper. This will provide you with a 4-flat connector which is what uhaul's trailers require.
I have linked installation videos below for both parts so you can see how to get them set up.
To round out your towing setup, I recommend the Curt Towing Starter Kit for 2" Hitches item # C45534. This towing kit will provide you with a 2" ball and a fixed ball mount with a 3/4" rise and 2" drop. It also includes a hitch pin and clip, hitch receiver lock with keys, hitch cover, and a storage case.
