Availability of Quick-Connect Brake Controller Adapter Harness for Prodigy P2 in 2012 Toyota Sienna
Question:
I am purchasing a Prodigy P2 Brake Controller for a 2012 Sienna with a towing package. What I have not been able to determine is whether or not there is a connector under the dash to connect to the controller or if I will have to individually wire the four wires to wherever. Help please.

The Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Brake Controller, part # 90885, is an easy-to-use, reliable and popular proportional-type brake controller rated highly by our customers. And indeed in many vehicles there are under-dash ports and matching adapter harnesses to allow quick plug-in connection of the trailer brake controller. However, your Sienna does not have this feature and so will require a hardwired installation.
Brake controller hard-wire installation is not complicated. You will need a 4-way flat trailer connector (if your Sienna does not have one) along with a trailer brake controller installation kit, part # ETBC7. If you do need to install a 4-way you can use Curt harness # C56106. The written instructions and an install video are included. If you have a 4-pole on the vehicle you will just need the # ETBC7. I have linked an installation article and video on the # ETBC7 for your reference.
