The Yakima HoldUp # Y02443-2 just might be a fit for your 2008 Toyota RAV4. You will need to take an important measurement first. You will also need to have a 2 inch trailer hitch for the rack to fit.

Measure from the center of the 2 inch trailer hitch pin hole straight back to the distance required to clear the rear of the vehicle. If that measurement is less than 12 inches then the rack will fit when in use. If is less than 7 inches, it will work when folded.

If you find that you need more clearance. Take a look at the Saris Freedom # SA4414B. It is a 4-bike rack, but you could certainly carry only 2 bikes on it. It has 13-1/2" of clearance when the rack is in use and 10" when folded. I have attached video reviews of both racks.
