Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller Always Has Power When Truck Is Switched Off
Question:
I have a Prodigy #0000538575, connected to my 2006 Dodge Ram, 2500, 4WD, Diesel. When I turn off the ignition, the Prodigy lights do not turn off. It was sitting for awhile and ran my batteries down. What can I do? Thanks The first picture shows the back and the model #. The second picture shows the display when I am holding the lever. The third picture is what it looks like after the ignition is turned off and there should be no lights on the display.

It sounds like your Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller # 90885 is hardwired to the battery so it will always get power on your 2006 Dodge Ram 2500. To resolve this you need to install a Relay # BL63VR so the controller only gets power when the ignition is switched on.
If you are connecting the controller using the Wiring Adapter # 3020-P then you may want to consult your local mechanic to determine if there is an issue with the trucks wiring.
