Is Locking Knob with Bolt for SportRack Single-Arm, Hitch-Mounted Bike Carriers Hardened Steel
Question:
I am designing a custom bike carrier rack to go on my Thule TracRac SR base rails. Do you know if the bolt on the locking knob can be cut to a shorter length? Im concerned that if its hardened steel I wont be able to cut it to length.

The Locking Knob with Bolt for SportRack Single-Arm, Hitch-Mounted Bike Carriers # SR0018 is not hardened steel, so you'll be able to modify it! I confirmed this with my contact at SportRack.
