Do I Need To Add A Brake Controller To My 2001 Chevy Silverado To Operate Trailer Brakes?

I have a 2001 chevy sikvarado with a tow package and factory wire 7 wat traler connect wired from the factory. If i add ebrakes to popo up trailer/camper, do I still need a brake controller?

Yes, you will still need a brake controller in order to operate the electric brakes on your pop up camper. Since you already have the tow package on your 2001 Chevy Silverado it will be very easy to add a brake controller. I recommend using the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195. The is a very solid, easy to use controller. You can use the Plug-In Wiring Adapter # 3025-P for a plug-and-play install.
