Best Brake Controller For Tall People With Limited Leg Room In Their Vehicle
Question:
I need to put a brake controller in my 2023 Dodge Durango. I am looking at the Prodigy P3 part 90195. Thing is, I am pretty tall at 6'5" and don't have a whole lot of leg room. Will this still be ok? Or is there a better option.

I can feel your pain, Don. Also being 6'5", leg room is always at a premium in most vehicles (and don't get me started on flying). That said, the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 measures 5" long x 3-1/2" wide x 1-3/8" tall, which would be slightly larger that a first generation Game Boy. So it doesn't take up a whole lot of room, but it will take up some. Also, you will need to grab the # TK93VR pigtail to plug into your port under the dash for an easy install on your 2023 Dodge Durango with the factory tow package.
However, the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty # RED24FR is a better option. The main box with this unit installs up and out of the way with only the adjustment/manual override knob being visible. You will need to drill a small hole for it to fit through, but this will leave your legs to move around to your hearts content. This will also plug right in with the # RED77FR pigtail. If my truck hadn't come with a factory controller, this is the one I would go with.
