Can Reese Weight Distribution Shank # RP3215 be Used in the Rise and Drop Positions

Question:

Hello I have a Reese RP315 shank I believe. Can this shank be inverted? I need to get more height on my ball to bring my trailer level.

Many weight distribution shanks can be used in either the rise or drop position allowing you to tow the trailer level. Reese shank # RP3215 can be used in the rise or drop position. In the rise position it offers up to 11-1/2 inches rise. And in the drop position it offers up to 6-3/4 inches of drop.

The Reese shank part numbers that CAN NOT be used in both positions are the following:

# RP63971 (drop only)
# RP3344 (drop only)
