Recommended Flat Towing Parts for a 2011 Dodge Dakota
Question:
Hi, We have a 2011 Dodge Dakota extra cab 4wd v6 with a weight of 4500 that we would like to flat tow behind our 2007 Tiffin Allegro. Could you please provide pricing and options for everything we would need including the braking system? Thanks!

I would be happy to! To flat tow your 2011 Dodge Dakota behind your 2007 Tiffin Allegro you will need the following parts:
Tow Bar and Safety Chains - etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar for Crossbar-Style Base Plates item # e44ZR
Base Plate Kit - Roadmaster Crossbar Style Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms item # 52276-1
Wiring Harness - Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit item # RM-15267
Supplemental Braking System - Blue Ox Patriot Radio Frequency, Portable Braking System item # BLU37TR and 12 Volt Outlet Kit, 20 amps item # RM-9332 since your battery is disconnected.
Optional Battery Disconnect - Battery Disconnect with Switch for Towed Vehicle - Gas item # RM-766. Makes life easier because all you have to do is flip a switch instead of disconnecting your battery and reconnecting it every time.
High Low Adapter - The tow bar needs to be within 3" of level. If you measure the height of the inside top of the hitch receiver tube on your RV, and the height difference is more than 3 inches above/below the base plate tab height, you'll need a high/low adapter. I have linked a FAQ article that explains all this in more detail along with our selection of adapters.
