Is Top of Adco Olefin HD RV Cover for 5th Wheel Toy Haulers Waterproof

Question:

I am looking for a cover for our 96 Alpenlite 5th wheel. 29 foot We have previous water damage and still need to identify sources of leaks. Would this cover work to keep out rain and prevent further damage? We live in a high wind area with potential for heavy rains and occasional hail, but we rarely get below freezing especially with storms.

The top of the Adco Olefin HD RV Cover for 5th Wheel Toy Haulers # AD99ZR is designed to prevent water from getting on your roof, yes. But it is listed as being weather resistant and not waterproof because with high winds and hard rain it's possible that rain and be forced up and under the top layer. This is also why the cover is built with vents so that any moisture that would happen to get on the roof can be evaporated by wind.

So this will do a good job at helping to keep water off of your roof, but if you want absolutely zero water on your roof this winter then you need to look for a storage facility that keeps your trailer completely covered until you can get the leaks figured out.
