Can Brophy Cable Camper Jacks Work if Camper Only Extends Out 1 inch
Question:
I am looking at the Brophy tripod lifts but am concerned about clearances. I have a 2021 RAM with a FourWheel camper. The camper extends only about an inch at best beyond the tires. It doesn’t appear that the channel intended to lift the camper extends far enough for the truck tires to clear when pulling out from under the camper. And that would seem even more challenging when reinstalling the camper. Can you confirm what extension the lifting bars have beyond a plumb line down to the closest tripod feet?

Expert Reply:
The lift brackets of the Brophy Tripod Camper jacks part # CJ41 extend out from the upright mast the same distance as the feet of the tripods. So as long as the camper extends out past the tires like you said yours did this would work although clearances would be pretty tight for you since it's only 1 inch.
