Replacement Jacks and Electric Motor To Upgrade a 1999 Sooner Horse Trailer
Question:
I have a 1999 Sooner Horse trailer. It has dual landing gear which ties into one handle crank to raise and lower. It has 2 speeds on manual. We would really like to convert that to electric instead of manual hand crank. Do you sell an electric jack that we could buy to convert? We have a power supply. Would we buy new landing gear or could we keep our landing gear and add an electric motor? I found one for 12,000lbs we need 15,000lbs lifting capacity. Please advise. Thanks

It sounds like the jacks on your 1999 Sooner Horse trailer have been modified since it was new as all the images and videos I can find for your trailer show it using a single jack. Without knowing exactly what jacks you have or the condition it is going to be best to get 2 new Jacks # BD182815. Each jack is rated to lift 10,000lbs which will give you a combined capacity of 20,000lbs. This should be more than enough for your horse trailer since so much of the weight will be on the axles and not lifting on the front of the trailer. If you only need the single jack capable of raising 10,000lbs you can switch back to the single style jack mounted at the center of the trailer.
You will then be able to use the Bulldog Powered-Drive Kit # BD1824200100 which you found.
